Learning about the unattended business model

As a newcomer to the laundromat business, it is easy to jump in with the intention of offering wash-dry-fold and pickup/delivery, though perhaps not right away. While adding the services does bring employees and additional complexities, the revenue potential can be significant.

However, even with the tremendous upside to all this, some owners still opt for an unattended or partially unattended laundry that better fits their overall management goals. The truth is that the industry has never been a one-size-fits-all proposition, and unattended store can be equally successful.

In the most recent episode of the Laundry Nerd podcast, we chat with Matthew Charney, owner of Fivefold Laundromat in Columbus, Ohio, and learn how the unattended business model was the best fit for him and his approach.
