Huebsch® Expands Product Range with New 200-Pound Tumble Dryer

RIPON, Wis. – (March 18, 2014) – Huebsch®, the expert in commercial laundry efficiency, has extended its product range with the introduction of the HT200, a 200-pound tumble dryer for on-premises laundry accounts. Available with Galaxy™ controls, the single-pocket tumble dryer can help laundry operators increase staff productivity and utility efficiency.

“We are committed to providing our commercial laundry customers with the most efficient and durable equipment to meet their unique laundry needs,” Huebsch North American Sales Manager Kathryn Q. Rowen said. “With a capacity range of 25- to 200-pounds, Huebsch has a tumble dryer that will deliver on-premises laundries of any size fast dry times without wasting energy.”

The Galaxy-equipped HT200 features 30 programmable cycles, three cycle types and reversing technology for greater drying consistency. Reversing technology allows the machine to stop, pause and then switch direction, which helps reduce the balling or roping of large articles, such as sheets, comforters and tablecloths.

Operators can further decrease labor and energy costs and extend the life of linens by adding the optional Over-dry Prevention Technology (OPT) on Galaxy controls. Baffles provide pinpoint moisture readings throughout the entire load, and once the tumble dryer senses the pre-set level of dryness, it automatically shuts off. With OPT, linens experience 31 percent less fiber loss, which allows laundry managers to spend less money on linen replacement.

In addition to its extra-large capacity, the HT200 provides superior efficiency with a high performance heater box. Sealed cylinder rims and a concentrated airflow pattern ensure no heat is wasted, and the self-cleaning lint screen makes for fast, efficient lint removal.

Huebsch’s Combustion Auto Response Equipped (CARE) system can also be added to the HT200. CARE monitors for excessive cylinder temperatures and sprays water on the load should it register an abnormally high reading. A “system active” signal can be sent to an alarm system or another device to notify the laundry or facility manager.
